Happy Thursday!! Sorry this week’s bachelor recap is coming so late! I just finished up midterms week & am officially on spring break! Now that I have time, let’s talk bach!!!!
Madison’s talk with Peter
I was so ready for Madison to finally tell Peter about saving herself. I almost felt like he already knew because we have been talking about it for so long. She spends her time telling him she won’t be comfortable with him doing overnights with the other girls… but she STILL does not explain why! How did she possibly not say that? I think she still couldn’t find the words.. but geez! Any time after that now just seems weird, because they already had a conversation directly related to it. Also, I feel like Peter would have respected her request more if she had really explained her background, rather than just letting him think she just doesn’t want him to because obviously, who would?
Hannah Ann is my favorite! I thought the date was cute. I don’t necessarily FEEL their passion compared to many of the couples we’ve seen on this show, but I do think they’re sweet together. I liked them a lot last week, and now they had another good date. My biggest takeaway from this episode is that Peter has such STRONG statements. So many of his affirmations to her or in ITMs were so intense that it made me believe she’s his front runner, no doubt. But then he had similarly strong statements for the other two girls… so….
I will say I’m upset we didn’t get to see them in the morning! I feel like you see such a different version of them than you usually see, and we missed it. Sad!
I just cannot straighten out my feelings on Victoria. I think I decided this week that I actually totally like her. I think they’re so cute and look so fun together when they’re having fun. She seems playful with him, and he seems to really love that. That being said, I definitely don’t see them making it as a couple, haha.
My heart just really felt for her this episode. She was so raw in her ITM. She said “It’s a a really good feeling… to be happy.” And then she cried and said she loves him so much. I just thought she seemed really genuine in that moment, despite their crazy relationship throughout this whole process. I’ve said all along that I love how self aware she is, too.
Second takeaway.. everyone is in love! With everyone! This is messy
Madison’s day portion didn’t do anything for me. She’s not that interesting to me. In the evening, I feel like she tried really hard to put her thoughts into words. She definitely holds her own in conversation and looks like nothing gets to her. I cry through most tough conversations, lol.
What I do not understand is that she said she doesn’t expect any man to have made the same choices that she has made… but that’s basically what she’s upset with Peter for? I see that it feels weird to get engaged to someone who slept with other people in the week before. I do feel like the bachelor leads usually don’t sleep with everyone, though. I can’t guarantee that, but a lot of past leads have made it known that they only slept with the person they knew they’d pick, because obviously it would be weird to propose to someone when you slept with someone else a few days before. That doesn’t mean no one has slept with several people, we know they have, but still. If Madison is Peter’s favorite, and he is so sure of that, why would he sleep with the others? If she had told him earlier about saving herself, could that have made a difference?
Anyway, Peter totally just apologized over and over again. I feel like he needed to stand behind his decisions a little better. If it were me, I think I would’ve been more upset over the fact that he knew he could lose her if her slept with other girls, and he did it anyway. She mentioned that in her ITM, but I wanted her to say that to him.
So what does this all mean? What are your theories for the ending? I think it’s pretty hard not to believe that Madison is his favorite. Why would he work that hard and apologize so much if he loved someone else more anyway? The only reason this doesn’t feel like the answer is because they’re making it too obvious, of course! We can’t trust that!!!
Chris Harrison said there is still A LOT more to happen this season. YAY! I have so many different ideas, but none of them feel like the real answer. What are you all thinking??
