Hi hi hi, friends! Happy hometowns week 🙂
Sooooo Hannah Ann is my favorite! I think their connection has been a little slower, or maybe just less noticeable than some of Peter’s other connections, but I genuinely like them together. They seem to have sweet moments, and I get the feeling that she’s a lot more fun and silly than we’re seeing on tv. I mentioned last week that I liked Hannah Ann’s list she wrote for Peter. I liked Peter’s list even so much more this week! He definitely did not need to do that, but he did, and what a sweet thing! The things on his list were adorable and make me like Hannah Ann more.
The evening portion, and really the only part we care about this week, went well too! I liked her family dynamic. She and her sister seemed to have a relationship like my sister and I have, so I thought that was fun to watch.
I think the most notable part of the evening was Hannah Ann’s dad talking to Peter. He told Peter he did not want him to tell his daughter he’s falling in love with her, pretty much unless she’s definitely the one. I so feel this and in normal relationships, I gotcha. But sometimes I just wanna remind them that this is a tv show! Things happen faster here than in most relationships. Still, I hear his concerns, but then Peter tells Hannah Ann he’s falling. So what do we make of that? The part that really caught me, though, was hearing Hannah Ann immediately respond that she loves him! That seemed so EASY considering she’s said she’s never been in love before. Maybe this is the first time she’s said those words or just the first time she’s said them and meant them, either way, it caught me off guard that those words rolled off her tongue. Do you think that’s a good sign? Is it supposed to be easy to say the first time? Or do you guys think maybe she’s not deeply in love yet, but just felt like she should say it?
Peter seemed to really love hearing this from her. We know by now Peter loves emotion and words of affirmation. He just wants to be loved back the way that he can love. I loved their little moment by the car when he said, “Say it again.” Another Gossip Girl moment. 🙂 I like them together.
I’m a Kelsey fan, because I love her personality. She seems loyal and sweet and fun to be around. I’m not totally on board with their connection though. Just seems like he’s more into some of the other girls at this point. So I’m not totally surprised she went home!
Mehhhh. I started liking Madison more after her one on one last week. But I’m just continually a little bored when they’re together! I don’t get that excited to watch them.
I wanna focus on Peter’s word choices here…. he told Madison he was “falling head over heels in love with her.” Doesn’t that just mean I love you? If you’re falling that hard, you’re in love. He definitely gives her the most affirmation, which is interesting, because she hasn’t even said she’s falling, right? I’m sensing a Cassie Colton situation here… ALSO. We hear him in an ITM say “I love Madison.” Any time we hear this before the finale, I have to assume that she’s not the one. I just know that’s too easy. They wouldn’t air that this much in advance if she’s simply the one. I think this means big drama, which is obviously seen in the previews, too.
If I’m totally wrong though… who knows! My mom, sister, and I rewatch old Bach seasons pretty much constantly. We just finished watching Hannah B’s again. When it we watched the first time, and obviously before the Jed drama leaked, we were so sure it couldn’t be Jed. That was all because WE didn’t like him. We liked Tyler and Peter so much more. But watching again this time, it’s so obvious. Hannah was very different when she was with Jed. Her words about him were also noticeably more meaningful. Anyway, we laughed at ourselves for not realizing the first time that she obviously loved Jed. We told ourselves to remember for future seasons that if it seems like they’re super into one person, that’s probably the truth. And, it’s not about whether or not we like them, it’s about if the lead likes them.
I could convince myself Hannah Ann’s the one during her date, then I can convince myself it’s Madison during her date.
The entire situation of Victoria F frustrates me. It’s all just too bad. I actually enjoyed their day time date, which kinda sucks because it was obvious it wouldn’t last. She’s just been a lot to handle and dissect through this whole season. Quick recap – we see Peter’s ex tell him Victoria F is knowingly not a great person in the Virginia Beach area, and that she’s ruined friends’ relationships. So naturally, he is uncomfortable with this and confronts her. For the first time, I actually think Peter held his own in this conversation. He still didn’t ask enough questions though. Ugh! I want him to require her to talk about this, lol. She still seems so incredibly immature to me by acting like this.
Here’s what seemed different to me about Victoria in this episode vs. all of the previous episodes. She seemed to like him tonight. During the day, it looked like she really enjoyed their time together. Then in the evening, she told him how she was feeling about him. Which kinda just seemed like a scapegoat? But whatever. The other new thing I noticed was that I think Peter seemed to finally start understanding her personality and what makes her unique. I think he realized that maybe she’s hurt from previous experiences and has a lot of her own “issues” going on. He finally sees that there’s a lot about her that doesn’t really work in their relationship, but that she still needs affirmation and the feeling of being valued. Did anyone else see this play out? Like maybe she has some deep-rooted stuff to work on… There was a moment when she was so emotional, and in my opinion, ruining her chance at confronting the issue and winning Peter back, and Peter pulled her in for a hug and kinda shook his head. I obviously don’t know what was going through his head in that moment, but I just wondered if he were thinking something like – this girl is amazing, but she has so much to work through in her own personal life, and I really like her, but obviously she might not be exactly ready for marriage, and I wish I could just wipe away all of her past and fix her, and wow she needs a hug. Anyone feel like that? Ha! Maybe I’m reading way too much into that little head shake.
Final note – the promo for next week obviously looks full of surprises and drammaaaa. And WHY does it look like the girls will be living together???? It’s funny because when we saw that, I was actually excited for a second because the final few episodes are sometimes a little boring because the girls aren’t all together and all that. But I put their experiences above my need for good tv and there’s just NO way that can help Peter’s relationships. Ah! Who knows what will happen!
