Hi friends! Happy February 24th 🙂 Today marks one year since I started sharing my life with all of y’all here on Wrinkled Grace! I’ve been debating what to share in today’s post, mostly because so many things have happened in these 12 months!
I do want to say thank you SO much to everyone who has been here reading and supporting me. There are also several of you who have been encouraging me on this since well before last February 24th. And there are probably some of you who are reading now for the first time! I love each of ya and am so happy to have you here.
I started blogging when I did because it was one of those things where the timing is just perfect, ya know? I ended up taking a gap year after high school, simply because I had A LOT of plans, and they didn’t quite align with what God was planning for me. I spent a lot of time trying to understand that, and now it makes more sense than ever. But in that year I spent off of school, I had to adjust to a lot and find a new routine and create new goals and find new hobbies. And one of the best things that came from that time was my blog!
So now it’s been an entire year, and I can hardly wrap my head around that. I mentioned in my 2019 reflection post that I continue to be humbled by how much can change in a year. I’m SO much more confident, content, comfortable, motivated, and excited right now than I was then! And I love seeing all of the change in my life and knowing how much has yet to come.
I think I was blogging in my head for at least a year before it became real for all of you! My family helped me pick the name Wrinkled Grace, which took no fewer than probably five months, because we are a crew of indecisive perfectionists. So many people have asked me what the name means, and sometimes I feel silly because I really don’t have an obvious answer. To me, it’s a balance of God’s grace and finding comfort in imperfection. Every day I’m reminded of the many ways I am imperfect and how overflowing God’s grace for me is. It also doesn’t hurt that I love interiors and fashion and wrinkles have some play in that!!
If you’re interested, I thought it’d be fun to share a few things that have done well on Wrinkled Grace in the last year. And I just love statistics.
