I have trained my hair to go about 3 days between washes, but sometimes I find myself in a real funk over how to style it when it’s not looking so fresh! Lately, I’ve actually had several styles flowing through my routine! I wanted to share some with you ladies so that we can all use this as a little reminder for those days when we just aren’t sure what the heck to do with our hair (particularly when it’s starting to look a little bit greasy – ugh)! These are definitely my go-to looks to hide the mess, and they are all sooo simple!
I find that if my hair is curled, rather than straightened, it looks much better several days after a wash. I also used these two products in each of today’s looks!
This half-up half-down look is one of my faves! I simply pull hair from each side, tying it into a pony tail. The more voluminous you can get the back to look, the better!
This is the exact same process, but instead, I use bobby pins to secure the hair. It takes about 30 extra seconds lol, and I think it gives it a more polished look. I loveeee how this hides how the back of my hair starts to look a little greasy!
Y’all already know about the high bun. I always thought I couldn’t accomplish this with short hair, but it’s actually still doable! This one probably hides my mess the best!
My sister and I have been calling this the Ariana Grande hair style for years. Is that a real thing, or did we just make it up? Haha! I love this one for a little extra something on a cute outfit day. I simply pull a big section from the front and flip my head over to tie it up. I like this one to be super high on my head! I think it just helps to make the look more finished. Don’t forget to pull it tight after you pony tail it so that it really flows!
I’m not gonna lie, sometimes this one is DIFFICULT for me. I’m not sure why, but it can seriously take me 8 tries to make this little bun not look crazy. I just pull a big section of hair back from each side and brush the hair backwards. Then, I fluff it into a casual little bun (that makes it sound easy – ha). Hopefully this one is simpler for y’all than it is for me!!
A super high pony tail. This usually seems like my main go-to. I flip over and try to make the pony tail as high on my head as possible. I have switched around between low ponies, mid-height ponies, and this really high one. This one for sure hides my dirty hair in the best way possible! You could definitely try several ways to see how your hair looks best when it’s a little messy.
This one is about as easy as it gets! Headbands are so in right now. I’m seeing them everywhere, so it’s super simple to find a bunch of cute ones to rotate through!
This is the only one on the list I actually cannot do on my own, lol! My sister french-braided my hair from the root to about half way back on my head. She then put it in a little top knot! This one FOR SURE hides any grease you have appearing near the root.
That’s it my friends – my go-to hair style list for day 3 hair! Let me know in the comments which is your go-to!
