Hi guys! Happy Thursday. We have FIVE full hours of Bach to unpack this week. Go to the lifestyle tab if you want to read my thoughts on the episodes before this. Let’s chat!
The “to be continued…”
Honestly, so much has happened since Alayah at this point, I feel like her drama was a blip. I am happy she is gone so that that round of drama could finish. I think that’s the first time we’ve ever seen someone leave without a rose, then come back and receive a rose, then have their rose taken away. Pete is making history!
Hi thought this date was pretty cute. I liked Sydney during it. In the house, my thoughts just weren’t completely formed on her. I kinda felt like she was one of the mean girls? But they did seem to have a connection here.
Peter told Sydney she was the best kisser. Did anyone else feel like they were watching Gossip Girl in that moment?! They had a Chuck and Blair moment with the “say it again!” I liked it.
This date seemed like fun. It was definitely awkward, too, lol. Andddd it basically came down to Victoria F and Hannah Ann again. I think Victoria F seemed cute with Peter on this date!
Can I just mention that the only thing we see Madison and Peter talk about is how comfortable they’ve been together since the first night? I think that’s sweet. At this point, though, I am feeling like I don’t even know her personality, and yet I think most of Bachelor Nation thinks she must be the one. Really though, it’s because it seems like no one is ~ the one ~ right?
I think Kelley seemed off from the first minute of this episode. They definitely set it up to make us think she wouldn’t get the rose. In my opinion, I saw zero connection between them on their date. I’ve liked the two of them a lot so far and have felt like they had a cute relationship. It’s funny that it just suddenly seemed like they weren’t connecting, because last time I remember them together, it was going great! It’s really hard not to compare his current relationships with his previous relationship with Hannah B. Anyone else think that they showed us the absolute strongest connection Peter’s ever had in the first week of this season, and now we’re just waiting for him to reach that level of passion again? That’s where I’m at every week. I’m seriously waiting to see that level of investment from him with one of these girls. And to top it off, who else was thinking of Peter and Hannah’s steamy spa date from last season during his date with Kelley? I had a hard time not comparing them!
In the dinner portion of the date, Peter really hits Kelley hard with the questions. I was so proud of him. I’m also just waiting for him to have a moment when he confronts the women as a group and tells them to chill out with the drama and focus on what matters. Kelley’s responses were irritating to me. I thought it was really arrogant of her to mention that’s she’s “extremely mature.” She also definitely offended Peter by saying she questions his readiness for marriage. That frustrates me. If we can trust Peter on one thing, it’s his intentions in this process. Oh, and she told him she doesn’t like that he’s rewarding the drama? I see her point on this, but no one knows how to navigate 30 women who fight about silly things and start dumb drama. He’s just trying to find his girl. I wouldn’t defend his actions so much except that Kelley was really bothering me at this point.
And then she gets the rose. Meh. I’m surprised?
Tammy & Kelsey Drama
I feel SO strongly about how much I dislike Tammy at this point. Let’s back track to what went down. Kelsey was simply feeling the pressure of Bach and was developing real feelings for Peter, so she got a little upset. She cries, and from a viewer’s perspective, it didn’t even seem to be that extreme, right? If Tammy wouldn’t have taken it far, I probably would have forgotten that Kelsey even had that moment. But, Tammy does take it far. She tells Peter Kelsey had a MENTAL BREAKDOWN. Where did that even come from? Then she also mentions that she has a drinking problem! Geez. Those are serious accusations even when you’re not on national tv.
Then, somehow, another rumor starts that Kelsey is “popping pills.” As if the rumors weren’t already extreme. Seriously, go back and watch the end of the episode where Kelsey and Tammy discuss this whole thing. The other girls got pretty involved, too. When I watched this part the second time, I was truly in awe of Tammy’s responses to Kelsey. She has absolutely not excuse for what she did. And she never takes the blame. She does everything she can to try to make herself look good. Kelsey says, “You told him I was an alcoholic and popping pills.” So Tammy responds, “I just heard that, I didn’t make it up.” OH, Tammy, I forgot that it’s only an issue if you were the one to make it up! Yeah right! She still created the whole drama and the alcoholic idea and spread the other rumor! I can’t stand this girl. And a few minutes later, when the girls have started to back up Kelsey, they ask Tammy, “Peter needs to know what? That you don’t like Kelsey?” And Tammy goes, “That she has alcoholic tendencies.” No. Tammy was doing everything she could do get through to another week. If there were real issues with Kelsey, the other girls would have alerted Peter of it, too. And if the issues were serious enough, the producers might have even gotten involved. I just can’t deal with Tammy’s petty excuses.
Let’s move onto Wednesday’s episode!
I’m always interested in the parts of the episodes when they do something unusual, like sit at a restaurant as a group. It’s fun to see them like that!
I’ve had a lot of trouble forming a real opinion on Victoria F. I’ve mentioned parts of this before. I think she’s relatable, real, and funny to watch because you can just feel her emotions. On the other hand, she confuses me. She seems insecure, nervous, and shaky when with Peter, yet she’s sassy and pretty rude (with confidence) in the house. Particularly right now, to Mykenna. I just thought she was mean. I’ll touch on this more later, but this episode just confirmed my dislike for her, at least for now. If this season has taught me one thing, it’s that my opinions can change drastically from week to week.
Hannah Ann’s One-on-One
Hannah Ann has become one of my favorites! I think this happened somewhat by default, because almost every girl is focused on drama and drives me nuts. She also seems to be friends with most of the house and looks like such a supporter.
The day portion of the date seemed fun and normal. But then the dinner portion really got me thinking. I was confused from the start about why Peter was questioning her so much? I don’t think it’s all that crazy that she hasn’t been in love yet. She is only 23. Still, why does that concern Peter so much? She just hasn’t found her guy yet. So Peter walked away because he was frustrated. This is the part that is so strange to me. Hannah Ann joins him and cries, and suddenly, he understands her? He said that’s all he’s been asking for. What is going on!! I don’t understand why she’s crying, other than maybe she started to think she wouldn’t get a rose? And in what world does that clear things up for Peter? She didn’t really even have an explanation for the tears.
Overall, I’m disappointed in the date, though I still like Hannah Ann. We were waiting for her on on one, and it didn’t totally live up to the expectation.
I LOVED this group date! My favorite so far. It’s so much easier to see their personalities in a date like this than in the sporty dates. I was happy to see Mykenna come back to her confident self for a while.
The real stuff happened in the evening. First of all, VICTORIA P. Peter sent her home. I was not expecting this, but I am glad it happened. I liked her a lot at the beginning, but it has really just continued to go down hill for her in my mind every week. Something about her bothers me. And, we all basically caught her in not one, but two lies. She lied about knowing Alayah. AND she was the one who started the rumor that Kelsey was popping pills! Peter didn’t really seem to make much of that, until now. I was so proud of him for just being straight up and realizing her character. Now, she’s gone, and boy did we see her true personality upon exiting. That’s such a tell as to what someone’s really like.
Then, Tammy went at it again. This time she targeted Mykenna. I was so happy to see Kelsey sticking up for Mykenna. That was sweet.
Victoria F’s One-on-One
I think it was the MOST unnecessary thing for Victoria F to get another one one one. They had plenty of time on their date in Cleveland. He’s clearly into her.
I started off on this date very confused about Victoria F’s issues. Now that I’ve seen it, I’m so bothered by her. She AGAIN went off and cried in the corner. She seems childish to me. Here’s my guess: Victoria F does not like Peter. She is wrapped up in the competition of this process. I think it’s very possible that she has confused the need to stay on this journey and “win the guy” with her feelings for Peter. I’m guessing it’s a complete unconscious thing that she does not like him very much. She’s having this panicky, bodily response to her conversation with Peter, and she can’t figure out what is wrong with her emotions. It’s imaginable that she feels like she’s out of his league or maybe a little bit bored of him, considering that she has dated other “it” guys, and that makes Peter a little less special.
I questioned SO MANY of the roses Peter gave out between these two episodes. I just hope that Victoria F can really clarify what she feels so that she can be honest with Peter.
Two-on-One / Rose Ceremony
I cannot believe how much Tammy changed in these episodes. She just made up so much stuff about Mykenna. I felt terrible for Mykenna. I was really glad to see that Peter saw through Tammy, but I kinda wish he had sent Mykenna home right then, too, rather than string her along a little bit to the rose ceremony.
Before the roses, I felt like it was clear that Mykenna would leave. BUT I also felt like it had to also be either Natasha or Kelley. And it was SYDNEY. I’m still in shock, 18 hours later.
What are your thoughts from this week?
